The Combined Art Societies of Sydney, or CASS, is run by a small group of dedicated and enthusiastic Art Society members who are passionate about furnishing the means for all artists to improve and showcase their work.
The wider Sydney Basin is home to many creative artists and the CASS Art Direct Open Studio Weekend is an opportunity to experience the inspired and unique work of the region’s artists.
CASS member societies are located across the Sydney basin and include communities from the Central Coast to the leafy North Shore, from the Nepean to the coast at Randwick and south through the George’s River area to Macarthur and Bowral.
The artworks offered for sale during the CASS Art Direct weekend may be works on paper and painting, printing or sculpture, jewellery, pottery or glass. It may range from a small unique gift to a large investment artwork. There will also be the opportunity to commission special pieces.
From the mountains to the coast the CASS Art Direct Open Studio Month offers a unique tour of local artists studios.
CASS aims to unite and strengthen the standing of art societies in our community and to encourage a standard of excellence among individual artists within our societies. The CASS at this time has thirteen member societies.
